LE WEEK-END

For most college students, the weekend starts on Thursday. Not the case for this girl who had class on Friday morning... except for last week! I was lucky enough to start my weekend on Thursday night because I finished off my exams on Wednesday. W picked me up from school and brought me home Thursday afternoon. Thursday night we had dinner with some friends at my favorite restaurant, Brick Road Pizza, in Grand Rapids. We split a vegan buffalo tofu pizza; I thought it was to die for, but the boys thought it was a little too spicy... babies.
Saturday there was a memorial held for my dear friend Caitlin Baker. Almost 100 people attended and released wish lanterns into sky (see video below). The event created quite the buzz and was talked about on a local TV station's Facebook page because people thought it was an alien landing... oops!

The rest of the weekend was filled with absolutely nothing. A nice little reprieve from the past couple of months. Now I feel like I don't know what to do with myself... which is absurd because I have a room to organize, scarves to knit, and some gifts to finish up. Alas, I'd rather just chill out on the couch and watch Hoda and Kathy Lee make fools of themselves on Boozeday Tuesday.
