I'm in love with this song. I remember my brother listening to Tracy Chapman when I was little: riding in his car to my soccer practices, sneaking outside his room trying to listen to him and his friends talking, or whenever.
This though, is probably my favorite song by Tracy Chapman. It was actually only a couple of months ago that I learned Tracy Chapman is a woman. "Then why is she always singing about girls?" I used this to aid my argument that, "she" is a he. A friend whispered in my ear... "Ohhhh.... that's why!" Fast Car will never be the same, but I still sing it just as loud.
